This 10,000 hectare project is being run with the indigenous Boruca community and is reforesting up to 30% of the cattle ranch land along riparian corridors to protect water supplies and quality. Those participating in the scheme are also funding a move to rotational grazing on the remaining pasture areas. This will be a 40-year project that stores 1 million+ tonnes of carbon dioxide, establishes wildlife corridors along riparian areas, maintains or improves food production and increases farmer incomes.
