COP27 ran last year in Egypt, from 6th – 18th November. Dr Tim Coles, OBE, gave a talk on the 16th November entitled. ‘Science-based ecological restoration for climate, people & biodiversity’.
Tim’s talk focused on how to fund conservation using private sector finance, through carbon and biodiversity credits, to protect biodiversity in some of the world’s most threatened ecosystems, while maximising sustainable economic opportunities for local communities that rely on them.
